Hi guys,
Why did I join?
I was at a meetup when I heard about Steemit. I did some research and I came across, https://steemit.com/philosophy/@dantheman/why-do-we-fight-to-change-the-world
Such a strong statement. It moved me, I printed it out and read it again and again.
This is what I have always been looking for from a platform, from a vision, so I signed up.
I want to be a part of this community, and write about what I know. Put some good contents so maybe my children in future can read about it, and see the idea behind of this platform, and they can follow me too.
I have been a member of Medium.com (a premium member) for a long time, even I am not 100% aligned with their vision, still I see that they treat their contributors better than others, and they value good content.
Steem takes this to whole new level.
I want to be part of this movement, try to give back to the community and hoping that my contribution helps the platform to get stronger and become a centre for the next generation of researchers and hopefully better internet.

I am a software developer, living in a small country town in Australia.

My Goal in Steem:
I want to publish at least 1 article per week in the first month, then try to do 2 articles per week and ramp things up until 2 articles a day ( at least this is the plan )
Areas which I am interested in:
1. Technology
2. Sport
3. Cooking (fast and no fuss)
4. Trying to be a better person and a better dad (not being successful in this area yet)
My Biggest Wishes
Be a better dad for my boys
Be an expert in my field of work
Be able to lift 180 KG Back squat :)
