Story of a Nigerian girl.....
I am Idy from Nigeria, a graduate of the department of biochemistry. I am passionate about event decoration and facial makeup art. When I was three (3) just before I could make or accept a decision, daddy and mama thought I was old enough to be in school and so I did. I don't remember crying and if I did no one ever mentioned it to me. So I was schooling long before I could remember, 8years on I received my first school leaving cert. and was handed over to an all girls school where I spent 6years trying to survive my bully senior students, over dramatic and hateful peers and discipline from my teachers. I combined subjects I never liked with those I enjoyed to make up for the said number of subjects I needed for my West African Examination Council (WAEC) certificate, after meeting all requirements I graduated with yet another cert. About a year afterwards I was admitted to undergo a basic studies programme for a year, where I was certified to be directly admitted into a B. Sc programme in the department of biochemistry.
However, sometimes I still ask myself the difference between schooling and education.
I hope to put up more write ups on this platform as well as read yours, as it is a hobby to read and write.
