My name is Arden, I have a zest for life, a curiosity for knowledge, growing and spirituality. I love nature, exploring and living life to the fullest. I am interested in a variety of topics in life and love to write and explore new knowledge and ideas.
I am an avid journaler and find joy in expressing myself creatively. I have been into a many blogging networks and I am thrilled to be here in Steemit. Below are reasons why I bog and wanted to be in this network.
Polishing my Writing Skills
As I scoured the net for sometime now, I found treasures. And I somewhat wanted to imitate the amazing writing skills of many bloggers, though it is such a long shot for someone who has no real journalistic training, except for some elective subject in high school, barely hanging on a passing mark.
Sharing Stories
We all have stories to tell, whether it’s true or fiction. Indeed, we enjoy the stories of others, and oftentimes blog about them. We love to tell our own stories too. It could be about money-making stories, extra-ordinary happenings or just plain events in our lives.
Expanding the Network
I’m not really the extrovert type, but I know the importance of networking. There are plenty of lonely blogs out there. Some are even left for dead (I don’t mean dead blog authors) without the benefit of a proper burial. Networking in the blogosphere gives life to a blog, regardless of the quality of its content.
Deflecting the Boredom Bug
Boredom is such a foxy enemy. Given a little space, they empty your brain in a middle of something, and let you crave for another though you’re not sure what it is exactly you’re looking for. There are days when you just stare at the ceiling with eyes wide open, but not seeing anything. In between daydreams and half-dreams, blogging is a better alternative.
Chronicling Events
I usually forget past thoughts, events, dates and important persons. Blogging is one way of chronicling these. Though some of my posts may have guarded and moderated thoughts, at least it would give me the chance to remember, unlike writing on a piece of paper that I usually misplace or throw in the waste basket.
I am a mother, a friend and an ordinary woman making a difference in the lives of those around me. My enthusiasm and quest for knowledge has led me down many different paths in life and I love to share my writings. For me there is something magical in sharing knowledge of all kinds. It is that elusive moment when I put pen to paper, I transcend, am free and am happy.
I am looking forward to sharing my discoveries, joys and knowledge with you in writings. Can't wait to read everyone's blog as well.
