Hello folks,
My name is Jackie and I am new here on Steemit. I have been around the blogging platform for a while but was itching for a place to connect with other like minded people, share stories and build a community. And after many years of shabby treatment with other platforms, I am looking for connection and a welcoming community….a home if you will.
A friend introduced me to steemit a while back and I got excited. But then, as you know life gets in the way and I forgot all about it. Then he connected with me again and reminded me about steemit and how the community was growing. I got off the phone with him and signed up right there and then, wasn’t going to let life get in the way again.
If you’re like me you might be sick and tired of facebook (never was a fan of them anyways) and its ever-changing crap of what is appropriate and what is not, being censored all the time, taking my personal information to sell to the corporate bigwigs in ads and make billions in ad revenues while we the little guy gets nothing.
Creating content but never getting paid or rewarded for my hard work. You just get tired of all their bullcrap rules while all the monetary benefit going only to them and never to me.
I want to be creative and share and get paid for it.
This blog is me giving the google/facebook/censorship old world a wave of goodbye
