Hello everybody!
My name is Jenae, I'm from Melbourne, Australia and i have just joined the Steemit community. I'm excited to get posting and to get to know other posters. A little bit about me... I am a massive history nerd! so you will probably mostly see me posting about history topics but i also love archaeology, politics, travel, cultures, reading, and food. Most of all i love to learn through experiences like travelling and interaction with new people.
I live the family life with my partner and our amazing two year old daughter. I suffer from a chronic illness called POTS, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome which is a dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system. I'll be touching on this subject as well, it unfortunately effects so many people and really impacts on lives but i am a tough cookie so i try to never let it control my life and i'm always researching to find new treatment methods.
As i've already mentioned i am a massive History nerd, hopefully i will be attending university here in Melbourne next year with the dream of one day completing my PHD. You can often find me searching through the archives databases looking for interesting finds to write about. My main history interests are European with a focus on Spain and Russia, Military especially WWII and Vietnam war, Mongolian and Japanese.
I also have a love for writing, this is something that i stopped doing for a long time, i have lost a lot my self confidence when it comes to sharing my work so I joined Steemit to help me overcome that and get back into writing both fiction and non fiction.
I live to travel and my partner and i are working hard on trying to work from our computers to allow us to travel full time. I crave to be on the road all of the time not just for experiences but to spend quality time with the family doing exciting new things together. If i could pick my own career out of anything it would be an explorer, ever since i was a kid i wanted to find places never found and meet people seldom met.
