Hello Steemit Community! My name is Jenn, sticking around me means there's 100% chance of wine in your feed. :D
But before we talk what my handle "JennsLIVE" has to do with wine, let me take a moment to give you a little background on how I got here today.
I am a former cubical slave and US Army Veteran that is learning how to share my expertise and passion with the world.
(Yep, that's me behind the camera even back when.)
Outside of going to school, working, seeing friends, and playing video games I enjoy spending time with my only co-workers; Sherry, my traditional Yorkshire Terrier and Asti, my Parti Yorkie. They are each 9 lbs of energy and love. Always up to no good and often found in the background of my social media pictures and TOO often hear on my livestreams!

In 2014 I walked away from my career of ten years, 2 hour commutes to and from work, a cubical with little access to sunlight, and a very strict 9-5 lifestyle to go back to school.
BEST. DECISION. EVER.
Fast-forward to 2015. I was on the verge of completing my Masters in Management and Marketing. I knew I wanted to share my passion for wine, but I wasn't convinced starting another wine blog was the way to do it. So as I was studying for the Wine and Spirits Educational Trust (WSET) Level III, I started creating content under Wine Antics (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCq7vYvr2CDQuDlVe-ESKXVg) with some very rough Periscope videos. I quickly learned very few people cared about my level of wine nerdiness, but they do love the antics I get up to! I am still livestreaming about wine primarily on Facebook (but we'll see how my time on Steemit changes that ;) ).
(My life is filled with great people like my co-host on Wine Antics LIVE, Stub (http://corkenvy.com/) and Lauren Zimmerman, winemaker at Port of Leonardtown Winery (http://www.polwinery.com/).)
BUT LIVESTREAMING JUST ABOUT WINE WASN'T ENOUGH...
About a year into going LIVE for Wine Antics, I realized that wasn't enough. I quickly fell in love with the community engagement of creating LIVE content. It wasn't long before people started asking me to help them with their LIVE content.
So I set out to share what I've learned in three different ways:
(This guy is clearly not a willing livestream participant. lol)
(1) #LetsLivestream: The only Twitter chat and livestream about livestreaming (yes, we are that meta). #LetsLivestream was started by the talented Rachel Moore, previously hosted by Jonathan Tripp, but I have run the production of the LIVE content for nearly two years. Starting August 1st there will be a new flare to #LetsLivestream under the wonderful group of #LadiesGoLIVE and the content will focus on sharing the tools, news, trends and tips of livestream!
(It fills me with so much joy to see this picture. We had so many amazing women across the world speak out for our Virtual Summit last summer.)
(2) #LadiesGoLIVE: In the Spring of 2017 I met two other passionate livestreamers in their own right. Lottie Hearn Ross from Ireland and Tina K. VaLant. The three of us stood up the organization that is Ladies Go LIVE to encourage women around the world to #GoLIVE for their passion or business. We launched with a one-day Virtual Summit where we streamed for 8 hours in two different Facebook Groups. We had a killer kick-off Livestream, 8 LIVE panel discussions (each with between 2 and 4 women), a LIVE Keynote speaker, a LIVE musical lunch performance, and quite a delirious LIVE wrap-up show. We're unlikely to repeat that event again without some additional help. It was the definition of EXTRA!
A year later, we have a membership group where we aid ladies around the world to become stronger livestreamers. Sometimes that means talking about hair and makeup and sometimes that means digital marketing planning. It's a wild journey and I am so happy to share it with these amazing women.
(3) Jenn's LIVE: Like many others, I've created community organizations before I worked on myself. However, that's changing starting this month. I am taking on more responsibility when it comes to my OWN thoughts under Jenn's LIVE! I keep up in the livestream community, I watch what social media platforms are doing so I can adapt my own strategies, and I watch what others are doing. Lord do I have opinions about it all!
On top of sharing my opinions as Jenn's LIVE, I am also going to be working on sharing my production and strategies to clients. (No this is not an up-sell.) It's way past time to make sure I am able to keep doing what I love by helping others (and them paying me for that short-cut so I can keep a roof over my head).
BUT WAIT...THERE'S MORE...
I've talked a lot about wine and livestreaming, but how does that relate to the bulk community interest here on Steemit? Well, I am also taking on the task of understanding of blockchain...
(This graphic was totally created with me in mind!)
I know VERY little when it comes to cryptocurrency, I know even less about how Blockchain works. I'm the deer in the headlights as mentioned in graphic above, but I want to change that. Luckily I know people that are much smarter than I am (specifically David Werba) about these two subject, so he's gonna teach me good.
We'll go LIVE on Facebook (to start) as Crossing the Chain to document my journey down the blockchain rabbit hole. I fully expect that I'll ask some of the dumbest questions, but I don't mind. I know there's a TON of other people out there that have the same questions and I don't raising my hand for the group! lol
SO THAT'S ME...
...and some of the highlights of my journey so far.
I love what Steemit is about and I am excited to share more of my wine, livestream, and blockchain related thoughts here.
Hell, I'll even share more puppy pictures if you all want! haha
Cheers!
Jenn
