Hello Steemians! I hope you are all having an awesome day, thanks for stopping by!
I decided to re-write my #introduceyourself post because my I wrote my first one quickly without much forethought and now I have a better understanding of this platform, thought I'd give it another try.
~ABOUT ME~
My name is Jenn Wyant, I am 38 years old and reside in Port Moody, BC. I grew up in Eastern Canada (Sarnia, Ontario) but have spent my adult life living in Western Canada. I studied geography and marketing and received a diploma in Travel and Tourism. Once I graduated I relocated out west, and worked at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise on an off for six years with a lot of travelling abroad in-between.
My first big adventure was spending a year working my way around Australia and New Zealand where my passions for diving and the ocean were found.
I then lived in Kelowna, BC for five years, a small stint in Invermere before settling in Vancouver. I slowly made my way across Canada!
I have travelled to Spain, Morocco, Thailand X2, Bali, Philippines, Japan, backpacked through Mexico, Costa Rica and Nicaragua, climbed Machu Picchu, and trekked in the amazon...
Four years ago, I met my partner in life and best friend Dave through some mutual friends and we fell in love wonderfully fast. Last July we welcomed our beautiful daughter, Izzy into the world. I am currently on maternity leave and enjoying learning all about motherhood and raising a child day by day. I love watching my daughter grow and I'm learning so much from her that I can't wait to share with you!
I will be going back to work in the fall, and love where I work at Atomic Cartoons. It's an animation studio located in East Vancouver. It's a super fun creative atmosphere and I am the studio and media manager.
My passions in life are to be constantly learning and improving, music and concerts, scuba diving, travelling to new places, photography, and all the holidays especially Halloween. I go a little overboard with decorating and preparing for holidays, and its getting better each year; I already am planning my family group costume and can't wait to share it with you.
(don't worry Izzy didn't mind being Hannibal Lector...)
My friend first told me about Steemit and told me to join. I'm excited to be writing again and reading everyone's posts and thoughts about current news and the future. This is where we are headed and I love being part of this like-minded community of positivity and encouragement and progressive thought.
If you made it to the bottom of this, thank you for taking the time to get to know me! Looking forward to sharing more and can't wait to get to know the Steemit community!
Please comment any tips or advice you have!
