Hello! My name is jgaimbi and this is my first post on HIVE!

To introduce myself properly, first off, my real name is Jason. I am from New Jersey and I currently go to school and work at my local comic book shop. I am a Psychology Major with the hopes of doing something that matters and not being stuck behind a desk for the rest of my life. The name jgiambi was my childhood nickname, and it comes from the baseball player Jason Giambi. Personally, I don't like baseball in the slightest, but my Uncle is a Yankees fan and just started calling me it because he knew it would drive my mom nuts. This is because she is a die hard Mets fan, so naturally she was against the name. But it stuck anyways and still to this day is what my family calls me from time to time.

Back in October, my friend Hive account@blewitt introduced me to the world that is the HIVE Blockchain and, to put it frankly, I was blown away. To be honest, I was only hesitant to join simply because I don't know much about the crypto space other than the basics that most people know. Not to mention when it comes to blogging, I'm not the best writer either, so that was another concern I had. But he has pushed me to get over both of those obstacles and to just go for it. So here I am. Recently I have been trying to force myself out of my comfort zones, so beginning to blog and sharing my creative side is a great way off the deep end in that.

Despite my poor writing skills, I do enjoy making content and consider myself to be a fairly creative person. Some of my biggest interests are photography, music, comic books, collectibles, movies, sports (mostly hockey!), video games, and clothing! So if any of those things interest you too, and the occasional poor grammar doesn't bother you, follow me! Here's to hopefully creating my own community of creative people learning about my passions and sharing their own with me!
