Hey there! My name's John, I'm 22 and a university student in the UK. I have just finished a placement year working in Marketing for a global multinational. One of the most amazing years of my life, the only problem is that, it showed me that the 'corporate-life' that was my career trajectory, wasn't really suited for me. Of course, for a marketer, this means taking the agency route: a path littered with reduced earnings and job insecurity. Or so my dad seems to believe.
Anyway, I've spent the last few months trying to decide what I want out of a career. My dream, albeit a rather short-lived one, was to be a writer.
Of some sorts.
I never really knew what to write and always found myself, kind of, rambling. Anyway, my love is travel, I figure if I'm going to slave in suit for 'the man', this man might as well enjoy the rest of his time. I recently spent some time volunteering in Mexico. My girlfriend and I spent some time teaching basic English to under-privileged children. There's a picture of us posing with the children on my profile, it will melt your heart!
