👋 Hello Hive! 🐝 #IntroduceYourself
Part 1 of __?My name is John, I was successfully guided here by over a month ago. Why did it take me this long to write an intro? Well, I'm a perfectionist and I tend to over-plan things. It gets bad to the point to where I'm thinking about stuff more than doing it sometimes. I looked at what others have written and produced here and thought "I need to make mine look awesome". That has kept me back from writing anything at all. So, I'm changing that.
This will be a short intro. I will do it as a series of parts. Whenever I feel like sharing more, I will write another entry. Sounds good to me. Easier to do that then hit all the points at once. It doesn't have to be perfect. 👍
I'm married and have one beautiful daughter. I am enjoying quarantine life. The "stay at home" thing was scary at first but I have mellowed into it. I live in California, USA. We now have opportunities to hike on the trails again so I am taking advantage of that. When I'm not enjoying the outdoors with family I'm working as a Graphic Designer at home. Thankfully, I can work from home.
How I found Hive was right after I signed up for Steemit. I was vaguely familiar with how the ecosystem worked because I was just learning about how to censorship-proof my content. Then there was something about Hive and how it was a fork of Steemit. I didn't know why but I soon found out. Later, I was listening to Episode 77 of Bitcoin and Crypto Podcast with Jeff Kirdeikis with and was just blown away with this epic story of how this all came to be. Now I have this account made and my mirrored account
just waiting for content on Hive. I'm happy to be here! Again, I'll write another intro part or something else interesting in-between. Thanks again for the warm welcome. I'll do better not to let the fear of making "perfect" content get in the way of just doing it.
Until next time,
John
