Dear steemians, my name is John from Nigeria and Hive account@johnwalker1 on this platform. I am from a family of seven, I lost my dad some years ago to road accident while I was just in my second year in the university then some months later I got robbed at gun point and lost a lot of valuables to the armed robbers, to make matters worse relatives deserted me when I needed them the most. These series of incidents made me lose focus in my studies and also made me lose hope in what the future holds for me but I tell you it's in your darkest times that you begin to see God in the form of strangers helping you, friends doing things your relatives refuse doing even if they are able and capable. These unexpected helpers kind of reassured me that there's a God in heaven and HE is always looking out for me. Now I have graduated and have a B.Eng in Civil Engineering from a prestigious University in Nigeria. #myself
HOW I GOT HERE
I got to know about this platform through Hive account@emjoe and after attending the #EnuguSteemit# seminar where I learnt a lot about this great platform created by Hive account@ned. I later decided to carry out a site survey of this platform Hive account@steemit to learn more on my own which am sure most of you on this platform did before finally joining this community of great people and great minds of keen intellects. I want to say thank you to @Ned for creating such great community where people respect and treat every member equally, I also want to recognize the #steemitultimatechallenge as a great place for members to display their passion, skills and also get rewarded for participating.
