I spend approximately 6-8 hours a day on FaceBook and Instagram but why didn't i hear of steemit? My bad i guess. Well am here now. TarDah!!!
Hello Steemians
I am Joy Sunday from the land of promise(Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria). I was born 21 years ago in the busy city of Lagos into a musical family where everyone played one musical instrument or the other, i couldn't be left out. At the age of 14, i could play the cornet/trumpet, horn (a wind instrument belonging to the brass family) and i could also play few chords on the acoustic guitar. I had the priviledge of learning because of the oppurtunity my church( The Salvation Army) gave to me. Joining my church band(Brass of Hope) was the little i could do to assist the musical section of the church.
My love for music became even stronger as i had oppurtunities to perform with my band in some major gigs which of course helped me earn some change
My guitar was my companion whenever i felt despondent from heartbreaks and life struggles. Sorry i couldn't get a video of me playing due to memory card issh but i found a screenshot from an old video?
However, my undying love for music didn't push me to study music(lol) cause i love science too and am presently concluding my Bachelor of Science degree programme in Chemistry at the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.
Aside Music and Chemistry, i also engage in some modelling jobs to help boost my bank account while in school.
My love for writing died down few years ago but with a platform as steemit am sure to awaken it cause i would love to share my thoughts, experience and ideas on relationships, life, music and of course share some of my musical videos.
