Hurray, first post!
At first I was excited to write this post, for talking about that one person you've known your entire life (: yourself) should be easy as pie, right? The excitement stopped the second I started typing. I guess we've all been through this stage. However, this time it's not because the lack of things to say, but because of the overwhelming amount of things I want to tell you, all at the same time. I'll give it a go, though.
Here we go, some "fun" facts about me to start with:
- I haven't washed my hair in 3 years (only with water)
- I'm a vegan (plant based food)
- I use coconut butter for everything
- I shaved all of my hair to donate it
- I'm taking pole dance classes
- I'm part of the CrossFit community
- I live with 3 chickens that otherwise would have been slaughtered
- Current favorite meal is a curry of banana peels
In the 19 years of my existence I've worked more and more towards a sober, simple and minimalistic way of living. I like the idea of living in a ‘zero-waste’ culture, where you can recycle most of what you use. To be honest, I think it’s pretty hard in this society, where they even sell peeled mandarins, sold in plastic packaging (have you seen it?!). I do try my hardest though. I mostly buy second-hand clothes, use reusable bags to buy food, use my ‘garbage’ again (like the banana peel curry!) and try to make most of the cleaning products I use, myself. I have definitely got a long way to go, enough space for learning left :)
I guess you could say that I’m an impulsive human being. Two years ago I decided to donate my hair and that same evening I was bald. Now my hair already is longer than it used to be before the shaving, so I decided to get dreadlocks (nice, ginger ones!).
In daily life I’m mother of 50+ dogs, as I am a fulltime dog walker. Something I didn’t plan to do for living, but it happened – and I’m really glad it did! I like to connect with them and want to give ear to their individual needs. Sometimes I walk over an hour with them, other days we play and cuddle. I walk around 6 hours a day, so besides the CrossFit and pole dancing I definitely also reach the average daily cardio goal.
As you can see I’ve got a lot subjects to post about (even though I certainly forgot to tell half of what I initially wanted to), and so I will. Feel free to ask!
