My name is Olayinka James, A graduate of B.Sc Social Work from University of Ilorin, Nigeria. I really Love caring for people especially the old and the little children that's was the main reasons why I opted for Social Work, in order to proffer solutions to the needy, those who are mentally, socially and physical challenged and have lost hope of surviving.
Let me share some of my experience when I was still an undergraduate. In my 1st year, I did my internship at Oke-Kura Prison (Kwara State Nigeria) in which I learn alot about prison system and how the inmates (prisoners) were treated. Its very sadden that our prison service is so poor that the inmates can not afford 3 square meal in a day. I really had a bad experience throughout my internship at the Prison.
In my 2nd year as an undergraduate, I went to Ladoke Akintola University Of Technology Teaching Hospital (LAUTECH) for another internship which I really enjoyed this time. Because I practiced my profession and also learn under the social welfare Units of the Hospital, which their main service is to rendered help to those that are unable to pay for their hospital bill by linking them with NGOs, Philanthropist etc.
I will like to summarize my 3rd year and 4th year internship together, which I did at an orphanage home and a psychiatric Hospital. I also enjoyed this internship and am always overwhelm with joy whenever am interacting with my clients and also playing together, not minding their health status.
I love reading, Playing soccer games, playing with my dog, and also helping people. Am also experienced in graphics design, farming and decoration.
In conclusion, am here to contribute my quota to the development of this great platform with my experience as a Social worker and also an health expert. I will be looking forward to your support and cooperation.
