I am here because I enjoy writing. I used to write for a national newsletter for teens and even did a stint as an intern at the newspaper, which owned the newsletter. Later on, I wrote featurettes of alternative fashion designers in return for items. I have also voluntarily written for some game blogs.
As a queer, androgynous person of colour, I feel a lot of responsibility to put my voice out there. People find it difficult to hire models who don't meet traditional standards of beauty.
I did not have a proper education on social awareness in my teen years. I spent a long time with internalized misogyny, not realizing I was not straight. It makes me wonder what life would be if I knew more.
I am where I am today with a supportive family and a better awareness of my mental and emotional state, especially after being hospitalized, reasons I will get into in a future post as it requires a content warning.
