Hello to all my fellow Steemit members (Steemians? Steemites? Steemers? – I’ll get it figured out)!! I’m Ken out of the Midwest USA. In the photo you see above, is myself, my smoke show of a girlfriend and my badass German Shepherd. A little bit about me- I’m currently doing my absolute best to shatter the stereotype of what an Accountant is “supposed” to be. I know… I know… probably not going to make much progress on that front while talking about crypto currencies to friends and family that don’t grasp the idea of a digital currency. But I do hear the phrase “You don’t seem like an accountant…” quite often. I like to dress nice; I like to ride motorcycles; I consider myself an athlete; I love dogs (and training them); I’m Pro-2A; and I love talking to people smarter than myself.
So how did I wind up an accountant??? It was actually a pretty easy decision… going into my 2nd semester of my sophomore year of college, I looked up the top paying jobs with a Bachelor’s degree and compared it to the top in-demand jobs with the best 10 year outlooks. Accounting was in the top 3 of both lists, so I went with it. Boom. I bet you expected some sappy Cinderella story, huh? Nope… just good ol’ fashioned logic, so I could pay my bills and have enough money to live life how I want.
As for what my posts will be… I honestly have no clue at this point. I love playing devil’s advocate, so you’ll likely get some new perspective on hot topics, as well as my take on the above mentioned passions.
Anyway… I can’t wait to interact with everyone!
