You can call me Krissa, I live in a virtual world with the different types of MMORPG characters I've created because I chose to have many lives, not just one. Yes, I'm a gamer. I don't know which side of the family I got my gaming genes but I wanted to say thank you very much because I get to be a part of this awesome generation! I met a lot of people. New friends, new experience and new lessons in life that I will definitely remember. The most important gift gaming has given me is my family, my husband and our kids. I met my husband while playing RAN Online. We had some issues back then but in the end, we braved them all. We are living together happily for almost 10 years now together with our little angels.
Now, being a girl gamer has a lot of challenges. The first one I observed is that other gamers doesn't believe in you when you tell them that you're a girl. They will ask you tons of things; they want your picture, they want to see you through webcam, Yahoo Messenger was still popular during this time. The worst was being accused of lying because you just want free items in game. The nerve of these bastards lol. I can afford more than you when it comes to in game items. Eventually though, boys learned to accept the fact that girls are excellent players too. Far better than them in some areas especially Support type roles. Game Developers also opened their arms to girl gamers through featuring us on their sites, in-game Marriage System, mounts that can accommodate two people of the opposite sex (or same) and other features that they can think of that will benefit players like me.
We have also invaded different parts of the gaming industry, we excelled not just in MMORPG's but also in MOBA, FPS, Action, Adventure, Music/Dance, Simulation, Strategy and Console to name a few. I am very proud to say, I belong! I am a Girl Gamer!
I am a proud and certified bookworm, with which I have my own collection of books!
I'm into fantasy, mythology, mystery, horror, history, science fiction and trilogies (or more). I love Authors like J.K Rowling, Rick Riordan, Anne Rice, Stephen King, Dan Brown, Dean Koontz, JRR Tolkien, James Frey, Michael Scott and many many others! Right now I am reading the Asylum series by Madeleine Roux and I must say that I am definitely hooked already, I can't put the book down!
Even if my schedule is busy with working and playing and reading, I also see to it that I watch anime's and read manga's. It doesn't matter if I have to watch the same anime all over again since I absolutely love a lot of characters out there. I just adore Naruto, Naruto Shippuden, Fairy Tail, Fullmetal Alchemist, Ranma 1/2, Bleach, Shingeki no Kyojin, Tokyo Ghoul and a lot more that I cannot remember the others already (HAHA! This is why I kept a list and the photo is from Google, credits all to them)
It's not easy being a hardcore gamer and a dedicated mother plus working full-time! The trick is managing your time well, you must also have an understanding and loving partner who understands your craziness and supports your addictions, and it's a plus that we are both gamers. The most important of all though is passion, burning passion to do all the things you want to do, make it an obsession!
Journey with me! <3 :)
