Hey guys - so brand new to steemit as of only two days ago, and have been dorking around getting a feel for things -snooping around so to speak - sniffin' about. To be honest, I was worried it was going to be like gab and minds - all angry and political and shit all the time (not that I'm not angry and political all the time but let's leave self-reflection out of this).
Anyway I'm pleased to report that I've only noticed a few hundred nazis on this site - otherwise you all seem like a very friendly and diverse group.
Seriously though, I can honestly say that aside from a bit too much jesus jams and spirit-warrior-flute in the 'music' tag and every second goddamn post being about crypto currency, I think steemit may finally be that small patch of moss at the base of the gnarled tree of social media where I might finally rest my weary head.
And once my formerly demonetised, censored ass has been replenished by my mossy repose, I really think that with steemit, dtube, dmania and the rest of steemit's awesome ecosystem that I'm only just discovering, I might actually be able to build a really solid base where I can nurture my artistic endeavours and provide the community with some truly all-original filmic and musical content. Meanwhile facebook, youtube, itunes, soundcloud, spotify and the rest of them can all die horrific and painful deaths. Fuck the middlemen - seriously - fuck them.
Anyhoo, so I'm in the middle of my honeymon with Steemit and eventually I make it onto d.tube and I'm minding my own business enjoying the fresh new novelty of anime porn next to fritter recipes, feeling free as a bird, or if you prefer, any small terrestrial woodland creature of your choice, and all of a sudden, just like that, in the middle of my decentralised bliss, on my D.tube homepage, smack dab during the epicentre of my crypto epiphany was the word:
"SUScribes" (see diagram)
And all of a sudden, the ol' weather cracks and those charcoal clouds roll on in and I think to myself:
"what kinda monkey business are they runnin' around here?"
"do I look like a zookeeper?!"
there it was on my D.tube homepage - "SUScribes"
Instantly, I was like "this isn't happening to me" - so I started googling 'suscribes' to make sure - I checked merriam and oxford and urban and the rest of the usual suspects and I'll tell you by this point, things were starting to look pretty grim for the old steemarooni
"Suscribes?"
"SUScribes?"
I mean how would you like it if you went to your wallet and it said you had $1.20 in steampooper instead of steampower? - wouldn't really give you a lot of confidence, now would it?
So yeah, you could say my first few days of Steemit have been a real rollercoaster - let. me. tell. you - phewwww.
But I'm taking a deep breath, engaging the lower chakra, smoking a bit of crack, petting my dogs, and keeping up with the walking dead
Don't worry my peeps - I'm gonna tough this one out
but goddamn!

Crap - it probably IS a word - Yup, as soon as I put this post up some rocket surgeon crypto magician from the particle accelerator school of linguistics is gonna reck me with all the history and majesty and nuance of the word 'suscribes'
But.... if this isn't the case, then someone with the power I.T. skills needs to pull up their socks and adjust their fancy attitude - this isn't nam.
