Hi, I'm Laurence Paul, 21, IT STUDENT from Tacloban City Where super typhoon haiyan strike and i love Skateboarding! So here's my story.
When I was in elementary a friend of mine, a local skater, taught me how to ride the skateboard. I enjoyed riding it, but when I entered high school the playing stopped. I continued playing when one of my classmate, which is now my friend, brought his skateboard in school and I saw him doing tricks. Memories flashed back, so I decided to go to him, and asked if may I ride the board. At first, I was nervous maybe my body does not know anymore how to ride the board. Then, as I was riding it, I felt hyped. It made me happy. Till then on, I bought a skateboard and continued playing till now. Everyday I was just skateboarding until 10 in the evening. It became the vitamins that my body needs. I focus on playing, that I have even no interest in going to school. I was also broken hearted that time, it was my way to move on also. Skateboarding makes me happy. I have also met good friends in the Tacloban Skate scene. I even dropped some subjects every semester so I could focus in playing. But now, I realised that I should make my priorities first and that is to finish my studies first. My love for skateboarding is always there, I can always play with it whenever I want to. And now, I played skateboard every saturdays and sundays and in the days when I have no classes. Skateboarding is life, but to set my priorities first is more lifer.
I'll be posting about my skate progress.
Soon.
So, thank you steemit for giving me a chance to share my story.
Till next post!
