Last time i introduce my self, but now i want to share with you,a short story of may life when i was young..
Hope you will like it...
I grew up in North Cotabato City, Philippines and during those times everyone treated each other like Family. We call our elders - Auntie or Uncle even if we are not related by blood. We go out on the streets to play sipa tsinelas, tago-taguan, bahay-bahayan, paper dolls, bakya bakya-an, jackstone, chinese garter, baril-barian. And we love to eat kerson fruit" sarisa or mansanitas." we enjoyed playing on the streets (til we got dirty ) till the sunset and the sky was orange and we love watching the rainbows .We don't eat fast food back then We were pampered with our home-cooked meals/ merienda prepared by our moms like ginataan, saging rebosado, nilagang camote, champorado we also loved the street ice cream and ice drop.We would run as fast as we can if the mamang sorbetero rang his bell upon our street. We enjoyed home made ice candy and that was really so cool.We also played karate-karate, tumbang-preso/lata, syatong, contest sa takbuhan and we enjoyed playing goma, jolen, tansan, teks, pogs, cards-cards lucky nine, unggoy unggoyan since there was no bottled water we drink from tap and sometimes straight from the garden hose. we are also spared eating from refreshments we love to share our banana cues to our playmates We had no kids tv channels we rode our bikes. for hours and flew kites. We also play bingo and cards with cousins & relatives .There was no such thing as a mobile phone or any other electronic devices. We weren't afraid of anything - never did happened to us anyway! And if sometimes we got in trouble young ones only had fist fight, they no have guns or knives. There was no Facebook for us to be worried that someone would post something nasty things against us and or the whole world to know The street lights were our curfew. When lit its our curfew. We have to go back home .Those days youngster don't interfere when oldies have conversation. We are watchful & mindful of our mouths around our elders because we knew we would get reprimanded if we were disrespectful in any way Family day will always be going to Church every Sunday.
