I am a writer with quite a lot of interests. These range from baseball statistics to War and Peace; from Flannery O'Connor to Shinran; from Pentecostalism to peanut butter & miracles & the life of Simone Weil. I've been writing fiction for a good decade now. I've been given the gift of imagination...prose, however (the ability to write beautiful, succinct prose), is something I was not graced with. It's been a lovely struggle though, from which I've grown and become what I am; a dreamer of sorts lost in the pain and wonder that is life. I found steemit by chance. I'd become bored and decided to invest a couple of bucks into some crypto. I now own XRP, LTC, ADA, SIACOIN, STEEM, and a little BTC. Of course, when I realized what STEEM was, I thought it to be the perfect format for me to practice writing concise articles. That's my problem...conciseness. My academic work is just too long, and when it comes to sports, something near and dear to my heart, no one wants to read 3,000 words about hypothetical situations in which this percentage may increase this other percentage and blase blah. So here I am. I pledge to write my best, and to reward those I believe are writing well.
(To be honest, I've been on the site for a good few weeks now. I just forgot about this aspect of the site and felt like it could be a good thing.)
