Hi there,
I'm Tahlia, and it's finally time for me to learn about blockchain technologies. I'm diving in with a blog about my university studies; my majors are Korean Culture & Language and Peace & Conflict Studies, the latter being a part of the International Relations tradition. I might upload some old and new essays on liberty and other topics of interest. My first topical series will likely be about how some of the biggest democracies are spying on their citizens. It will include information about occasions the US government has lied about data collection practices, how much our governments can learn about us from our metadata and whatever else tickles my fancy.
There's not much to say about me. I live in Australia with my husband and two cats, all of whom I love dearly. I also love learning about all sorts of things, spending time with friends, long and luxurious skincare routines, tending to my plants, reading the Bible, and eating tasty Korean foods. I'm a well-travelled, easygoing introvert.
For me, liberty is only found in the person of and kingship of Jesus Christ. Paradise is what He offers, and pandemonium is what we will continue to have until He returns to change the world. I don't believe any political system will bring peace; Jesus is the only Prince of Peace, after all. I don't think any political system can bring even rudimentary justice, for even democracies are busy killing innocents overseas with our tax dollars. If democracies can't do it, no one bar Jesus Himself can. That doesn't absolve His people of attempting to bring peace whenever and wherever we can. I guess that's how I ended up in Peace & Conflict Studies.
So, let me say, "Hello, dear reader from this strange blockchain universe 👋. I invite you to join me on this journey I've titled "liberty.diaries""
