Oh hello Steemians! *desperately waves his hands *
At first as I'm a fierce believer that good manners must prevail, let me introduce myself.
I'm Luis, I was born at 1997 that means I'm 21 yo. at the moment, and I'm from Venezuela. I've always been quite intrepid and adventurous, willing to experiment and to live moments I could tell my sons about in the future. That same spirit has also led me to some unpleasant experiences but, that's what life is about, right? You can't have a rainbow without some rain.
In a not so far past, I used to write poetry, a couple short-length stories for practising purposes and I even tried to write a book. I tried really hard though, I wrote down like 100 n' something pages, they never made it out of my .doc folders. Nevertheless, I dropped the habit (not happy about it at all)
Maybe part of my stay in here will be about sharing new content on my literature-self. I may have dropped the habit, but them stories are still stuck in my head and on the inkwell.
As you can clearly see, I'm native from a Spanish-speaking country although I'm fluently writing in English, yeah. That's because I've been able to speak two languages for almost all of my youth. That doesn't mean though that I'm as perfect or accurate as a native English speaker.
I either went to no school or I attended no course at all. You know when paint artists say they've been born to paint, or singers who are recorded very young singing utterly well and later in life perform even better? That's their gift. I think my gift is my second language. I hardly remember learning something from a teacher at school, it is all self-taught through the internet, yeah, the internet! It wont cease to amaze me with what it can do to a person, whether for good or the opposite.
What do I want out of my stay in Steemit about?
At the end of it, it is what it is, a social-media platform where I can share my stuff, where I can talk/help/engage with people and I really like to make friends and acquaintances, specially if I can work or even play with them later on.
Although I look forward to translate texts and videos as well, to make great content even more visible and available by completely breaking the barrier of language. Therefore, the people I like, the content I support and the material I could find useful can be reached by people who are strictly attached to content in their own language, due to being unable to understand a different one. I'd love to be the person to introduce them to a whole new series of knowledge and/or enjoyment.
As I mentioned above, I might as well post some of my literature writings. :)
Do you even relax, bro?
Yes! That's what I enjoy the most out of my day. Back then I used to workout at the gym everyday, I became a really big fan of it since my trainer was a two times South-american bodybuilding champion in his category. Two years later, I stopped it, and became a weekend fitness boy lmao.
I've been an avid gamer all throughout my life ever since I got my first computer back in late 2008. In those past years I've played a vast series of games, such as MU Online, Rakion, Counter Strike, Spiral Knights, Unturned and god knows how many more games have I played, I can't remember them all. Right now, I devote most of my time to a game that has been recurrently coming back to my life ever since I first played it, it's called Tibia. I plan on making some posts about it as well, who knows if there is someone who likes old games like me rolling around Steemit.
(if interested, I'm a Paladin level 80 in Descubra, and yes, my name is Pala Vaca)
Would you come swim with me?
I'm desperate to swim in this gigantic, colourful and full of life ocean of minnows, fishes and whales. I look forward to learn new things everyday (would love to learn about programming and graphic designing, to improve my English).
To any newcomer like me, reading this post and wondering what to do first, I will tell you what to do. When I first logged in into my account, I stumbled upon this post from right out of nowhere. I'm glad it was the first thing I've ever seen in this platform, because it light up the path, it marked down my way, and certainly, this is a way of success.
