My salutations and felicitations to the members of this community. May you all welcome me here with warmth. I knew about the Steemit community in my journey in the cryptocurrency world. During my engagements in bitcoin cloud-mining and altcoin trading, I stumbled upon this great platform where they said that members are paid by writing and by curating.
A few years ago, I wrote for a website called bubblews and took the name Spear of Ink, during those times, money was easy. At high rates of 0.01$ per view, like and comment. But as predicted that website did not last long. It wasn’t sustainable, and I suspect that the change of management was a huge factor in the platform’s fall. The spear of ink was a kingdom, a virtual medieval manifestation of a writer’s passion and creativity. Troops were sent to post comments, scribes to write articles and I post commentaries on the political happenings on the website as the leader of that medieval kingdom. So that’s how I wrote there.
My memories of that platform encouraged me to join this great community. Plus the fact that it is embraced in a cryptocurrency called Steem. So I am here and would like to be one of the steemians. The profitability attracted me but more than profits, I sensed a large amount of magic and knowledge within the platform. So, I come as The Mage of Thoughts.
Despite the mystical sound of my username, I am medical student currently on my clinical clerkship now and is planning to be a Psychiatrists someday or a Family and Community and Medicine Specialist. I have interest on all the topics that human thoughts can reach, all the products of the human mind. Thus, “Mage”. My skill set would range from general medical knowledge, magic, hypnotherapy, poetry, chess up to martial arts. I just hope I have the time to write about them and share my knowledge with the steemit community. I might as well include philosophy and logic although I am not technically adept on those and will approach those topics in a literary way.
I am currently a medicine student and is rotating on a rural area several kilometers away from the city when I decided to write my first post in Steemit. We were visiting hospice care patients and I had a free time to post for this photo - we had to walk long stretches of rural terrain.
May this quest of knowledge that I tread lead me to where I really want to be and place me where I want to be at. I hope to bring hope to those who are sick and empowerment to those who feel weak. May fate and time allow me to visit this platform frequently and I am looking for ward to meet new people and have new friends.
