Hello, dear cyber people
This is my first post on Steemit, and I guess I am supposed to introduce myself. So okay, here goes nothing (don't worry, I know how painful this is so I will make it short):
About me
I am a 22 years old university student from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and I major in Japanese studies (language, culture, and literature), but I also study Portuguese as a part of the course. I thoroughly enjoy what I study, and I intend to be in touch with it for the rest of my life.
I have spent most of my life in Rio de Janeiro, except during a period when I participated in an exchange program and went on to live roughly one year in Japan.
Being a book and music person, I spend most of my time engaged in those as opposed to actually socializing (which might be sad or not, depending on how you look at it). I also play a bit of classical guitar, and it is a fun pastime for me to sing songs out of my vocal range.
Goals on this website
So, what I hope to achieve in here is... well, to be honest, I am not very sure! I would like to write posts (or 'articles', if you are feeling fancy) that are fun to me, and if you cyber people hop on the wagon, it would be really cool.
Perhaps I should write about my experiences during my period in Japan, tips on learning Japanese, recommendations on cool things, or simply about my interests. How does that sound?
I also plan on writing posts in Japanese, with the first one being my self-introduction (which fits perfectly because it is a common practice for them to introduce themselves), so look forward to that. Or don't. I'm not holding you. Either way, I just want to enjoy myself in here, and if I meet some cool new cyber people in the process, it would be amazing. So...
