Good morning, afternoon or evening from any corner that you are reading to me.
I am Mavi, a 28 year old woman, a civil engineer, but in love with art since I was born, fond of cinema, eating and designing.
I live in Venezuela, a little piece of land that freed many countries but today is alone.
If it sounds like cliche, one of the many complaints made by my Venezuelan friends, which really I hate that they are like Maria the neighborhood, saying of their tragedies.
But hey, not everything is bad here, being in an economic situation where financially does not let you grow or develop, start and find new income entries is one of the essential things we should do.
And it is that in those moments of desperation and anguish the best ideas happen, entrepreneurs create things, the smart ones have the way.
I am one of the people who believes faithfully that this government of ... .. what it did was to separate many families, since many friends and family are knocking around working outside the country.
Those of us who have not yet done so are not because we do not want to grab and leave, but because we do not have enough money.
One day in my house my younger brother scolded me because in my house we had internet, but I did not use it to work.
From his scolding that same day I went to freelancer.com and upwork.com, pages that I totally recommend, because if it worked for me, anyone who reads it could work for me too.
From working as an "Engineer" and not earning much, I became a part-time freelancer.
Why not stop working for my career if I was paid little? Well, because in my mind I could not only earn only $ but I also had to generate in the local currency, so I could save $.
The economy is so destroyed and so variant, that what I do in a month of my work, in 3 days I do working online from my home.
And what do I do online? Thanks to the pages that I placed above, I just had to fill out a profile, the simplest thing in the world is how to fill out the Facebook record but adding information about your career or the skills you have.
Once this is done and confirm the mail, what you have to do is a search on the pages that fit your profile.
I started working making articles for actresses and the dresses they wear on the red carpet.
From there I have written many things, from farm animals, erotic stories (my mom thought she would be the new writer of 50 shades of Gray but in India), audio articles, online casinos, among others.
I started writing something, and I ended up writing about anything, and always learning.
Then I changed the methodology of work, not only I stayed writing articles, but increased and worked with social networks.
And finally I started working together with a partner doing drawings in Autocad.
I have worked with people from India, Panama, the United States and Iran, among others.
And every day I have learned more, and to do other things.
Something that believes as a routine is that this knowledge not only I could have, there are too many people who place limitations because they do not know English, I tell them for everything else there is "Google Translator".
We are the size of the challenges that are presented to us.
We should not say that "NO" in the face of the different situations that are presented to us, we should take risks and take the bull by the horns.
If we do well, it will be a triumph, if it goes wrong it will be an apprenticeship.
We definitely can not sit idly by, we have to take advantage of the opportunities that come our way.
If it were not for my little brother's scolding, it would never have occurred to me to work online.
You have to reinvent yourself, if your country does not give you the slightest chance to grow, seek YOURSELF the tools to grow and develop.
In a few years I am very sure that the works will be more digital, that the work schedules will be more flexible.
If you do not like your work my recommendation is look for something that makes you happy, but you will live a little hell.
Enjoy what you do, and be very happy, give yourself small tastes, and if writing is your thing, follow my little tips.
Enter this community at the suggestion of a co-worker, (by the way, I mentioned it above, it's the one I associate with to make plans), thank you very much Franco
I hope this writing is the first of many.
Until next time :)
