There are several ways to raise money for charity. Galas, bake sales, begging... So when my best friend/business partner and I were challenged to raise $1000 for The Bumi Sehat Foundation, we did what any reasonable grown women would do, we put on our horse head masks and asked people to pay us to do weird things while wearing them.
We went surfing, enrolled Indonesian police into letting us hold their machine guns, fake held up a bank and reenacted a scene from The Godfather. But our crowning achievement was talking our way into a United Airlines cockpit and having the pilot let us take the helm.
In the end we raised $3000.
