Hello fellow Steemians,
welcome to my steemit blog, where I will be sharing Music, my thoughts on Music, Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology.
I LOVE music! I really, really love music! And that‘s really all you need to know about me.
My defining characteristic is that I love music. I love music in almost all it‘s shapes and flavours. Eclectic is probably the word that best describes my taste in music. My love for music consumes and defines me, few people really understand that. Music is all I need, music is all I want, I probably couldnt live without music, certainly wouldnt want to. It‘s just music and me.
I discovered Decentralized Ledger Technologies and Blockchain Technology through music and I think Blockchain technology has great potetnial for the music sector especially. I have been following the Blockchain and Cryptocurrency related innovations for a while now and have come across many exciting projects some already up and running with many more under development. (Personally I actually think that the first mainstream Blockchain application could be one of the music streaming platforms, but I will write in more detail on that later.)
For now I plan on writing several articles about all the various blockchain applications for music as I do more research into it and test them out when they become available. I will maybe use this blog as a kind of journal on my journey into blockchain and DLT, posting especially about things that relate to and are helpful for musicians, artists and fans of it.
I will of course also just share some of my favorite music as long as I'm here, because why not?
And once I get my dj gear fixed and up and running again a mix here and there. If I like it here even some of my own musical experiments.
I‘ll probably start with an article on some of the music I like, so you can get to know m better and a more general overview article looking at all the blockchain projects for music already out there and then do more in depth analysis and testing of the most promising projects.
I might also write something about open source software, if I have time for it. I switched from windows and mac to Linux a few years ago, gradually at first, but I use it now almost exclusively, except for the more professional music DAW and AdobePhotoshop and Illustrator as those don't work on linux. All these open source blockchain projects and applications have reawakened my interest in all things open source built by and shared with a community for free. I'm especially interested in free and open source music production software obviously.
And well, we‘ll see what else I feel the need to post and come up with:)
I look forward to exploring this platform, I honestly have some reservations and I'm not a big fan of social media in general, but I think platforms like this one have some potential and open up new ways of communicating and sharing content, especially for artists.
