In rush to keep up with our daily life, We have, perhaps, ignored our well being. While We constantly strive to change our outer world, we stubbornly ignore the inner one. And, This neglect of inner life has created one of our greatest problems - 'Compulsive thinking'. I also call it 'Mental Noise'.
In case you haven't noticed, you've a mental dialogue going on inside your head that almost never stops. Whether you want it or not at the present moment, It just keeps telling you thousands of useless things and makes you drowned in the vicious cycle of, 'uncontrolled and anxious' imagination.
If you still do not understand what I mean, then observe and notice what your mind tells you for a couple of days. Just step back and witness your thoughts without getting involved in them, without judging them. Do it specially when you're eating, taking a shower, enjoying a walk or trying to sleep.
If you do it honestly, you'll realize that it never stops. You'll see that it always keeps worrying about the past which has already gone and the future which has not arrived yet and never let you live in the only moment you've right now i.e. 'The Present Moment'. Then, you'll realize you've only had one problem in your entire life and you are looking at it.
Have you ever wondered why this happens? Well, It happens because you're not okay inside and you're constantly striving to make yourself feel psychologically safe (which of course you fail to achieve for long). It happens because you never give your mind the rest it needs. Whether you're awake or asleep, It keeps working in the background in form of thoughts, dreams, this or that. Moreover, It happens because you've been ignoring your inner world for too long.
This neglect of inner world has led us to a situation where, as modern psychologists says, most of our thoughts are a complete waste of time, they do nothing but freak us out.
Now, Are you able to see what actually stops you from living a peaceful and happy life? Don't you feel that the mind that was supposed to be our beautiful servant has become a dangerous master now? Are you able to see how you're not living this life, but only your fears & worries are living through you?
If Yes, then be happy because this recognition of your unconscious nature is the first thing you need to live your life joyfully. Only when you realise how neurotically your mind talks, you realise you've power to turn your attention away from it and work toward knowing your true nature by learning to meditate.
So, If you've come to the point where you feel there must something more to life and want to know who you are (if not this neurotic mind), I invite you to be part of my blog. I invite you on the journey to adventure and freedom I'm also going through.
In my Blog, I'll be sharing different meditation techniques I've learned over the years. I'll be sharing about the spiritual teachers I learned from, the obstacles that we face in the path, how to overcome them, relaxation, love, relationships, life and everything that I feel we need to see more clearly at. My intention here simply is to remind you of the fact that unlimited happiness is present right where you're, no matter how hard life feels.
Also, I look forward to connect with people all over the world who are on the journey of self exploration and discovery :)
Thanks for reading.
Love.
