“… than invest it in Steem,” were my words around one year ago.
It all started when my wife went for vacation. When I picked her up from the airport, one of the first things she told me was: “I invested some money, you know. In Steem.”
My thoughts started rushing, Steam? How cool! She discovered the beauty of gaming, no more playing my new games alone, we are going to buy them together on the Steam gaming platform.
But then the disappointment followed. It wasn’t Steam. She was talking about Steem, the blockchain.
My reaction?
“It would be better to flush the money down the toilet.”
Then curiosity took over. I started following her Steem wallet and calculating. I could buy an Uncharted 4 or Watchdogs for it! The more I was reading, the more the interest was building up and slowly PC games were forgotten and replaced with realization that there is so much more than just taking few dollars out of it.
I started researching the blockchains and figured out it is freaking excellent! I started to feel that I want to be a part of it. More and more interesting posts were popping up, interesting people to follow. I wanted to be one of them. I want to contribute to society and write something useful about the things I know, maybe teach someone something new, without the hustle I went through, trying to figure it out and google for an answer for a few hours. That’s why I decided to start my own posts, but she wouldn’t let me use her profile, so here I come, dear Steem community….
Now let me tell you something about me since it is an introduction post.
I am an IT engineer who loves everything fresh. I will jump into innovative technology, new electronics and try it out. That is why I started thinking, let’s give it a shot. I like the idea about sharing knowledge, and I have something to offer to the society, so why not!
Why not?
I am not a writer, that is my problem. I can express myself through the code. I was always joking that I can better communicate with the machines than humans. So let’s make it easier for me. If more people understood machines, more people would understand me.
This is the reason why I started writing about programming, and the easiest way is to learn it the fun way. If you would like to make your own apps, learn how programming flow goes, use sensors on your smartphone to create “Drag the toilet paper part 2” or just understand the whole programming world better, then continue reading my upcoming posts. You will be able to do your first project through my series at Steem called:
Android programming made so easy even your grandma can do it!
I hope you will enjoy it, I will try to present the beautiful world of programming to someone without any technical knowledge or programing background. In an easy and fun way.
I think this counts as an introduction so let me take you on a journey to the world of coding, without frightening you at the very beginning.
Anyways, hello from Dubai :)
