Hello World!

As one who likes to follow (most) rules, this is my introductory post here on Steemit. I've followed Hive account@jeffberwick and Hive account@dollarvigilante for a couple of years now. I am incredibly excited about the future prospects of cryptocurrency and naturally Steemit. I must confess to joining almost a year ago but didn't take the leap but now is the time :)

So why am I here? There are a couple of reasons, and I'm sure I'm not alone in these:

1. I've always been one to know a little about a lot and love to share this with people. My goal is to post some of the more interesting things I've learned over the years and to participate as much as possible. Helping people learn and make decisions gives me great happiness :)
2. Having dabbled in several crypto's over the past year I see the potential to change the landscape of currency as we know it.
   It's going to be a different world for my kids! As such, I want to make sure I know as much as I can and Steemit seems like the best place to start.

Anyway, I really look forward to participating and helping build Steemit into the platform it can become.
