Dear readers, My name is Timo. Just today i have started my Steemit account and i am very exited about what i will learn and experience here.
I am a software engineer, a musician and a business owner. I don’t want to lie that the reason i actually began reading about this platform was profit. But after i read few posts here, i can say that it is a very warm environment, and now i am totally into this platform/forum. I found very interesting topics and one thing i noticed immediately here is that a lot of honesty is flowing, and that is something i really value.
As a software person, i do understand how block chain works, a simple explanation can be found here. Though the video is referring to Bitcoin, it is the same with all of the digital currencies, including the Steem. The idea is simply beautiful.
Now the reason i am pointing this out is, all of these digital currencies have a value based on some background events and activities. In example the Steem currency will go up if for example the value of steemit.com goes higher. So this means, again, we finally have a “money” that is based on an actual-transparent value, and not on some mysterious political activity.
I will also use this account to meet musicians and artists, share my stories and reflect on my work (programming, business and music).
I will write about Technology, music, art, philosophy, business, economy and humans.. I will probably write about other things too, but currently i have these topics in my mind.
