My name is Eliska, I’m from the Czech Republic and just turned twenty two. I’m swinging from a day to day lost in daydreams, surrounded by music, reading classics and being creative. I’m quite a fan of 80’s and 90’s, starting with music, Polaroids and technology in general, fashion, ending with the lifestyle of those times that I just admire. I love being spontaneous and crazy around the ones close to me. I dream to travel around the world when save enough money and write down all my experiences and adventures - a bit like Kerouac, wouldn’t that be exciting?

I'd like to present my creations that depict my true feelings. My aim is to capture struggles of those suffering from severe mental illnesses. As a person who has experienced depressive episodes and suffers from anxiety disorder, I’ve met countless people during attending therapies and hospitalisations. I still picture their griefful stories, their shivering fingers, frightened eyes and I believe it’s important to spread knowledge of the increasing number of people with those diagnoses.
A photograph I’ve taken when I was about eleven years old and started to gain my interest in photography itself.
Except drawing, I also enjoy photography. I remember I would carefully arrange my dolls as a child being very careful about the details of the scenery. I would even craft some of the decorations myself and spend hours on making the perfect setting.
Each time I think of how I got my very first and last tapwriter when I was about five years old, I have to smile. I barely could write without making plenty of mistakes but that wouldn’t stop me from writing endless stories and adventures I’ve experienced. The beauty of being a child is that you go straighwards to what you enjoy and don’t really care whether you are good at it or not. You believe in your dreams and follow them with infantile enthusiasm and passion. Keeping this attitude, however, reveals as very difficult when you first contradict with devaluation.
Since that time I wanted to become a writer and nothing’s changed. I write short stories and poems, hoping that one day I’ll be able to put together an entire novel. I also tried a bit of blogging when younger but found out it’s nothing for me.
PS.: I’m a cat person!
