Out here in the warm days and cool surf of beautiful Ventura county, CA. USA, this grand social experiment of innovative social network design has reached us. For us Meetup members, https://www.meetup.com/Steemit-101-Social-Media-Blockchain-for-Ventura-Networks/, it has sparked further interest in not only other blockchain implementations but furthering commerce onto the blockchain. Naturally, us Venturians surf on anything, including blockchains and we find it to be friendly waters. More importantly, we find ourselves identifying with so many opportunities around freedom politics. So we are saying HELLO and THANK YOU to this awesome community of innovation, freedom, and networked-powered economies.
Personally, I started this Meetup to empower the local community to bootstrap themselves into the crypto-economy via the Steemit onramp for all people, equally and without obstruction, costly fees, and nerdy skillsets. You don't need to know how a bit is different than a byte, but you need to know how to connect to your network, to find common ideas amongst collaboration and discussion, and to form larger ideas from smaller ones.
I hope to post as much as I can and let the larger Steemit community know how the blockchain is getting on with folks in sunny SoCal.
