Hello fellow Steemians!
My name is Mike and I reside in the beautiful Central New York area. I'm so glad to be a part of this community. I thought it was time I make an effort to introduce myself. I have been active for just over 2 weeks and passed 100 followers last night.
I found STEEMIT from listening to a radio show that Sean David Morten had on freedonslips.com. Sean was a fantastic host of a daily show that has since gone by the wayside Unfortunately Sean and his wife Melissa were convicted of tax fraud in June. I was deeply saddened by this news as Sean was a pioneer in helping people from all walks of life both physically and spiritually. He is also an author of several books dealing with the Black Ops government programs. If you would like to know more visit StrangeUniverseRadio.
I am very excited about the cryptocurrency world and love to research and learn about all the myriad opportunities that are presenting themselves each and every day. I do believe the blockchain will be a catalyst to change that we need in this world to make everyone be able to succeed as they want. It's not magic, one has to apply the knowledge they have in order to take advantage of it. I'm also starting to believe that this financial vehicle presents itself as a once in a lifetime opportunity to become as close to financially independent as anyone can be. I think it will create more millionaires then ever before as well. Could this really have the potential to become a transfer of wealth in this world? Possibly it could.
I think there are other things that can transfer how we live. I am a huge proponent of Hemp. I truly believe it can transform how we interact with the environment, how we can become more responsible and how we can boost our economy in the process. There are just so many things to say about Hemp... I will probably hold off and post topics on the benefits in later posts. I recently happened to catch a voice chat on the Discord channel.... first time on and ironically they were talking about Hemp. There was one naysayer there that couldn't say anything good about the potential. Really that's the fight we have with so many things that can truly change things..... re-educating people who have been brainwashed by the MSM and educational system in our world. I do look to the Europeans and Canadians as a positive example of change in this field. They have been integrating Hemp into their lives for quite a few years now. In the USA.. it's glossed over until there is mass appeal and the bureaucrats and elite can figure out EXACTLY how they can profit from it... frustrating to say the least.
Other interests I have are music. I thrive on it and am always seeking out new and interesting sounds. It makes life more interesting for me. I started listening to new and upcoming bands and artists in my teens and have always had an ear for finding the next big artist. I will say that with the internet it's much easier.. the diversity and access channels have really helped new and emerging artists get a chance to gain audiences they never otherwise would have had.
So... as time goes on I hope to contribute on a regular basis focusing on these and other topics as I go, Relevant to what is happening at any given moment or what I think is worth sharing, I hope that STEEM becomes what those "other" social media channels had the possibility of becoming.. but have really just turned into self aggrandizing photo and ego boosts for people who really have nothing valuable to share.
Thanks for listening, I hope to make many friends here I otherwise would never have had the opportunity to... PEACE!
Ahhh. couldn't get away without posting one song that I have been listening to by a band by the name of Wild Nothing.... fuzzy guitar and organ riffs that I adore makes this song just hummmmm right along...the name of the song is entitled "To Know You" it's actually a couple years old....but it's indicative of the style of music I enjoy the most!
