IMG_20180428_000611_605.jpgIn the beginning, it was just the words. I'd sit down just doodling all over my book, writing down words i felt sounded nice, like ; chivalry, mundane, mitigate, grotesque and many more.
As time flew by, i got caught up in rhymes, i fell in love with the way a group of boring lines to on a whole new ring when strung together to form a rhyme. As one would expect, i began writing short stanzas of lines that rhyme, some were ridiculously meaningless but with more i got better. Each time i wrote, i actually had a picture in mind which i described with my own words, in my own colorful way.
I gradually realised that i had an innate passion for writing , as everything i felt and saw could be transformed from a thought to a poem, a story or even a song. I believe that writing is a precious talent that majority tend to overlook. I see the world through a whole new perspective now, i don't just see; i visualize, my sense of imagination has developed quite appreciably and above all i take pride in the fact that I'm articulate.
Dogbey Selorm Ivy is my name, a second year telecommunications engineering student at KNUST. I am very much honoured to be a part of steemit, my sincere gratitude to my friend, the steempoet Alhassan Jamil, for introducing me to this platform. I look forward to a great experience through learning and sharing of great ideas. I urge us all to bear in mind that writing is an art, and we; the artists.
