Hi,
I am Ved, a 26 year old dentist trying to find my place in this crazy world. I was born and raised for the most part in Bengal (India), which is known for its rich cultural heritage. I’ve also lived a few years in Southern India where I graduated from a dental school before moving to California, USA.
I love singing and listen to all kinds of music. I’m passionate about travelling and save money to travel as much as I can, and when I do, I capture moments with my iPhone camera because I’m too lazy to learn how to operate a DSLR! I enjoy cooking (and eating) different cuisines, speak 4 languages, worry too much about life (often unnecessarily) and occasionally enjoy either a glass of Napa chardonnay or smoky single malt scotch (depends on my mood). I prefer deep meaningful conversations instead of small talks and hence have a small circle of friends. I took up dentistry as a profession to continue the legacy of my father (who happens to be a popular dentist in my hometown) but someday I want to own an all American diner in Kolkata.
I have been blessed with an amazing family (mom, dad, a younger brother), who I miss a lot as they live back in India. In my down time I hang out with my super smart, devoted, hardworking and very understanding husband - Anindya, eat potato chips or chocolate cake or even go out for a drive. And when none of that really work, I call up my mom because she always has a solution!
So why Steemit? Well, firstly because my good friend 
I’m not a professional blogger... I just write whenever the urge hits. In fact it’s my first attempt at writing long posts. I hope I get better at this with time.
