Just joined yesterday, hi everyone! I'm a street photographer from Melbourne, Australia. Hope to make new friends, meet like-minded people, and learn from each other here on this platform.
It's heading to winter here below the equator, at the Southern Hemisphere. Though the sun was out all day today and it was quite warm. I live near the inner city, and I often wander about when the day's favourable to seek those moments that I can collect off a city's 'soul' through the eyes of street photography.
I went for a stroll in Southbank, one of Melbourne's newer and swankier post code. And before long, I came across today's first moment - Australian's own iconic spirit. Not surprising, considering the previous day was Friday.
Day crowd was up and about, quite happy to enjoy the stretch of boulevards that flanked the Yarra river. Jackets are still a must, but the sun definitely help the spirits.
Spotted a few other fellow photographers.
And of course, as they did, I also had to take a shot of one of the signatures of Melbourne sights, the River Cruise boat traversing the river Yarra.
All in all, it was a neat day to get out and enjoy Melbourne.
