Hi, Steemians! I'm a philosopher!
Some 150 years ago, human life was not at all saturated with the information flow. A cart pulled by a horse drove past the gate. This picture has not changed for thousands of years.
The horror came with the beginning of the industrial revolution. The first victim of the car was a nice lady. She saw a cart without a horse, which rode itself and was so impressed by this sight that she could not step aside. But the car was driving at a speed of only 10 kilometers per hour!
The brain of the unfortunate woman simply could not cope with the flow of information, the crutch stuck into the operating system, she could not adequately respond to a technical miracle. All we had to do was step aside ...
On January 6, the Lumiere brothers showed the documentary “The Arrival of a Train at La Cieta”. Some viewers were so amazed that they ran out of the hall, others fell unconscious.
I wonder if they would use Magic Leap glasses and see a shark swimming around the room so that it would be with them?
Now it is impossible to surprise anyone with multiple special effects. The information flow that swept the population of planet Earth has changed our lives. In addition to the joy of perception of bright spectacles, he created traps for people to whom everyone can get.
For example, the special services of Russia through social networks with the help of distorted information affect the elections in democratic countries. Politics immediately makes changes in people's lives. Once the choice was not free, then life can deteriorate.
Traps stand in the way of every person just everywhere. Social networks, collecting information about each of us, take into account our preferences and in search engines create a kind of informational world, covered with an impenetrable dome. As a result of this, each of us receives only the information that already exists in our heads, which was previously splashed out on pages on social networks.
Social networks use it and manipulate our interests, slamming all the windows and doors into the real world. We become victims of the information boom.
How to get through the metal dome of social networks to new knowledge?
How to realize yourself, and not the interests imposed by social networks?
How to realize your interests in the real world, and not in a computer game?
The answer to these questions is information security.
My daughter, in the nearest Halloween, will be ten years old, in a few more years she will be able to read and comprehend complicated literature, and the information flow will overwhelm her.
I want to teach my daughter, for one thing to share with you, dear readers, tools for working with information flows.
How to consume and process information?
What laws affect human attention?
Why did one information block get into our space of understanding, and the other not?
How is the switching of attention?
How is white noise cut off?
How to classify information?
How to find something important for yourself in the information flow?
How not to memorize specific information so as not to overload the brain, but to fix the place of information storage?
Without this knowledge, a person becomes a toy in the harsh paws of fate, he becomes a victim of political rogues, economic fraudsters, his life becomes, though long, horrible.
The answers to these questions are scattered in a variety of books and textbooks. Very often, the language of presentation, the presence of mathematical formulas can kill any curiosity. Dissipative (open nonequilibrium) systems, topology, nontrivial topology, cognitive processes - this is the list of enduring brain.
To make the presentation easy and unobtrusive, I moved away from the classical system to push the amount of knowledge into my head, and decided to turn the whole process into a game and use the text “Looking for Lost Time” as easy as possible by Marcel Proust.
But please do not deceive yourself: behind the ease of style there are hidden complex mechanisms of a person’s inner life, understanding the novel is a significant difficulty and requires effort. But the whole novel of Proust is sheer fun, heavy sarcasm and killing irony, so the resolution of the questions posed can be turned into an easy game.
Initially, I wanted to make a video on YouTube, to find high school students or students of 8-10 people who read a lot of books turned out to be impossible. I went to a local school, but the director just laughed at me: she, of a thousand people, had only two reading students, and even then they didn’t have time.
Therefore, the video can be made when my daughter can read and analyze Proust in a few years.
So far I have decided to do a page analysis of the text of Proust, hanging on him as a Christmas tree, step by step, the psychological topology and methodology of open non-equilibrium systems.
This work is intended for all curious people.
