Greetings and Salutations

My name is Jeff and I joined Steemit (or STEEM) to get away from all of the censorship going on over at Facebook. I am not on here to make money, could care less about something that I so want to rid the world of. For a "job" I do Email systems administration, Linus systems administration, AWS, coding, penetration testing and the likes.

So you may be asking yourself why I don't care about money. Well for starters, I have and make enough to live a comfortable existence but I see that my own comfort is at the cost of the suffering of so many others of my species and other species and want to do something about it. I came to learn about a #ResourceBasedEconomy (or Natural Law Resource Based Economy) after watching the movie Zeitgeist Moving Forward. I had known about the Zeitgeist films from the start and when I first watch Moving Forward I thought "that can't possibly work" and I would expect so did many others who watched it. I, unlike others, did put more thought into it, realizing that my cognitive dissonance was preventing me from giving it a chance. I thought about how it "could" work and to my amazement, I discovered that it really isn't that much of a stretch especially considering the fact that we as a species, had lived in a egalitarian, non-hierarchical and gift economy for the vast majority of our time on this planet (https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/freedom-learn/201105/how-hunter-gatherers-maintained-their-egalitarian-ways). The fact is, we are using a desert economic system and we need to move on. We now live in a world of abundance, we can provide for everyone a standard of living that far exceeds that which we have today and also live in harmony with nature, but not as long as we continue to support this desert economic system.
