I'm Oli, a writer from Brighton in the UK. I'm a committed follower of artists of all kinds, and love meeting new people who share my passions, or can introduce me to new ones!
I love writing science-fiction. I love how it can take you anywhere, at any point in the past or future, and allows you to mingle ideas and levels of reality together to uncover hidden truths. Although good writing can do that no matter what the genre, so maybe I just love the spaceships.
I've been working on a few short stories, but mainly I've been grappling with a novel for the past three - no four years. I'll be chronicling my campaign to conquer this story as I'm determined to do, despite having written almost all of it before realising it needs to be totally rewritten.
I love Star Trek to an almost unreasonable degree.
I love Chris Marker.
I love John Berger.
I love Philip K Dick.
I love Agnes Varda.
I love Werner Herzog.
There are lots of things I love - too many to mention here, but I'm sure I'll talk about them in the future.
