Born in a small country town, I (Ray Ray) moved to Denver, Colorado before I was even to the stage of crawling. I discovered at the young age of 4 that I had a keen interest for music. Through my adolescent years I participated in any choir and/or drama classes that were available to me, alongside any other classes that might help me become the best performer that I could be.
It wasn't until age 16 when it was decided that I would begin writing my own lyrics. This way I could see if all my hard work might pay off someday. Of course, being a beginner, the words I was putting on paper were not turning out how I had hoped. I didn't let this get me down. I had a strong understanding that great work takes time and I was willing to put in that time to create something that myself and the rest of the world could enjoy. So I continued to write and to perfect my work. I don't believe that I have reached perfection yet nor am I sure that I ever will. However I will spend each and every day, practicing, to become the best me that I can be.
I am currently working on my debut album titled "Smiley Face Emoji". I do intend on sharing the release date, tracklist and links with the Steemit community as soon as I have all of this information available.I hope to find a strong sense of community within Steemit and I am excited to share any of my future work with you.
For the time being, I am going to post one my older songs. This song is Hip Hop/Rap. I veered more toward the Pop and Adult Contemporary so this will be the only song of this genre that you hear come from me. The reason I am sharing this song is because it is a true story that took a lot for me to put down on paper. It is about my older and younger brothers that have both passed away. I hope you like the song!
