Remember Who and What Matter's Most
I love the fact that I am able to give my son my pure focus, for the most part, when we spend time together. I love creating routines with the little guy. Over the summer I blocked 1 day off to spend solely with him each week. It is as if he has 52 birthdays in a year. Don't worry, we do not eat cake each week. Just Chik-Fil-A.
This Sunday I spent the afternoon with him. When I asked what we should do he was quick with his response. We should go to the zoo DADDY. I said, "Great idea, let's go". We rode the trains and the carousel. I enjoy watching Matthew focus on the small things such as taking time to give the Bunny a hug.
This is a reminder, if you do not take the time to enjoy the small things then spend time with a little one and they will remind you the importance of appreciating things.
