A few weeks ago I was at a local arts thing and I thought I saw someone I knew from sometime ago. I said, "Hey, man." He looked at me all kinds of strange but with no animosity and I realized I confused the fellow for someone else. Rather than apologizing and walking on I just decided to introduce myself and have us not be strangers. We had a nice chat and it was a reminder that sometimes you just jump in and figure it out from there.
I'm Redmond Wallace. I am a father, a husband, teacher, artist, procrastinator from Memphis, Tennessee. My interest in steemit is to reinvigorate my dreams of being an author. At one time, writing was a need that must be met but work and family were more fundamentally important. Every night, I tell myself that I will wake up early and restart a writing routine. Every morning, I sleep until the last minute to get my son ready and get us to school and work. To be sure, the possibility of earning some type of income aids in the motivation. Writing is so long on the reward process that it can be depressing but that's a sorry excuse.
We'll see how this all goes and I'm excited to be what feels like a positive community in a world that wants to pick itself into a festering wound.
