It's me!
From Paper to Screen
Fabienne Fredrickson once said:
“The things you are passionate about are not random, they are your calling.”
I’ve always been into writing ever since I was young. I can’t live without art, I prefer watching movies, listening to music, creating artistic crafts and reading books than going out. Poetry and Calligraphy are two of the things that help us people appreciate the beauty of words. Sharing my works to other individuals bring me a lot of joy and fulfillment that’s why steemit is a perfect opportunity for me to do so.
Who brought me here?
Poetry and calligraphy are two of my favorite things to do hence, when introduced me to steemit, I was completely thrilled! He taught me how steemit works and the basics, I instantly fell in love with the platform. How the steemit community interacts with one another and how rewards were given brought me here.
Who am I?
Exploring the wonders of nature in Malabuyoc,Cebu.
Describing one’s self is quite difficult when we always see ourselves in the eyes of other people. Well to start with, I am currently residing in the “Queen City of the South”, home of the most gorgeous beaches you’ve ever seen. To further know about me, I listed few of my interests that keep me busy.
Without further ado, here are 5 Facts about Me:
Calligraphy
I have been doing calligraphy specifically brush calligraphy for a while now and steemit is a great way to show other users my art. I also do pen calligraphy sometimes but I prefer brush calligraphy as it allows me to have more color control. Hand lettering has always been my passion and people appreciating my art and giving feedbacks makes my heart be filled with joy and delight.
Poetry
Poems are indeed feelings expressed into words. It is safe to say that poetry is art. I am quite new to poetry but it just gives me pure relaxation and peace of mind. Playing with words help soothe my soul and sharing it to other people makes me glad us much as calligraphy does. My all time favorite poem is “Invictus” by William Ernest Henley.
Books
Some of my books (and my favorite socks).
I am such a huge book hoarder. I should say I am a bookworm but there are still books that I own which I have not yet read. My book collection is composed of about 80 books for now and I really am wanting for more. I crave for knowledge and stories of adventure. I don’t have a favorite genre because most of the time, I just read about everything from Sci-Fi to Horror to Self Help and others alike. Few of my favorite books are: “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho, “Warrior of the Light” by Paulo Coelho, “The Little Prince” by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and a lot more.
Civil Engineering
My friends and I during the 6th Asia Conference on Earthquake Engineering.
I am currently on my last year in finishing my civil engineering degree. Civil engineering is not just about building blocks until it looks good. It analyzes everything from beginning until the end through the use of mathematics. Physics makes the world go round and I personally think it is one of the most vital subjects to learn for us to understand the world better.
Leapling
A leapling is a term used to describe someone who was born on a leap day (February 29th). I was born on February 29 which makes me one. People find it weird and they make fun of me all of the time. But I love it because it makes me unique and the chance of a person being born on this day is pretty slim so folks, you can never forget my birthday.
What can I share to the Steemit Community:
I guess my steemit blog niche revolves around the three: poetry, calligraphy and books. I can contribute to the steemit community by sharing my original poems and calligraphy works to other steemit users. I will try to promote the beauty of the Philippines which I will be doing on my next project hopefully soon.
That’s a wrap! I hope you had fun reading my introductory post. I will be wholeheartedly receiving feedbacks if you like and also please don’t forget to share your thoughts and leave a comment below. That’s it for now.
