The first ever oxymoron: God created us all from the same Lego pieces, with two eyes, a pair of legs, a pair of hands, same number of organs – mostly in pairs, the same everything. And yet, God created us all to be different – each one of the billions of humans, all different from one another.
So, we were all handed a few building blocks, a few colored pebbles, and a silver coin… And it was up to us how to use them to construct and develop ourselves. The colored pebbles were easy. So were the building blocks. The blocks representing our practical side and the pebbles reflecting the opposite. So we struggled and we built. There was a twist though, expect God to do that. The silver coin was the one that made us all different – and I don’t mean the choice-in-movies different, or the favorite-ice-cream-flavor different. Really different, the silver coin was the soul, and God hid it inside us somewhere, and sent us down to earth to search for it. To us God gave this insatiable thirst for silver – to drive us and our lives till the end. We looked for it everywhere, we conquered foreign lands for it, we dug holes into the ground for that, we killed people for that. What we forgot was the silver coin in our own selves.
After a few major falls and hitting rock bottom, we realize that it’s us that we’re in this persistent hunt of fathoming.
Firstly, I am the youngest of 4 siblings, amazing people to have learned from and shared with. Even greater, my parents, a corporate badass for a father and a loving caring housewife for a mother. Love.
Whether you are a diamond in the rough or a diamond with fine cuts, never forget the struggle that got you there. That is something you will find similar about me and the company I keep. All visionaries and dreamers. I consider myself amongst the dreamers. Growing up in the Middle East gave me a very good knowledge on the importance of norms and values. I then found tradition and classical music when I moved to my home country, Pakistan. Music is a very major part of my life. It is an energy source field for me. Even as I write this post, I can hear the subtle strums of a Sitar accompanied by the sway of a Tanpura (Classical Instrument) taking over this room. I am a firm believer that the kind of music you listen to and when you listen to it is one on the best ways of making sure you have a wonderful day. I do consider myself a bedroom producer, have produced a few projects and videos. My own music reflects more of my preferences in music like Hip-hop , Funk, Electronica and Jazz.
It’s very important to stay humble. It’s really a way of life. Usually a cool headed, fun loving, making sure everybody has a drink kind of guy really. I have a very close group of friends’, I do socialize when I have to outside this circle. That must explain to you that I am an introvert but I love to breach through that barrier at times. It’s fun, trust me.
I love to be handy around the house. In my spare time I’m always updating or redoing the interiors of the entire house, sometimes even the exteriors. I have a passion of staining and finishing my own coffee tables and such pieces of furniture. I find it very therapeutic. Recently due to someone very special I am finally taking out time in my days to slow down rest to read and write. Something I knew I always wanted to do but couldn’t ever find that peace of time.
I am a huge dog person. I am currently a proud owner of a Yorkshire Terrier (Daisy), a Rottweiler (Mauser) and a GullDong (Richie) Pakistani PitBull for short. The love of dogs dates back to my great great grands.
Every day for me is a new strive for that silver coin within.
