Hello #Steemians, my name is Idris Busari and I am a resident of Indiana who is originally from Nigeria. By day, I am a production associate at a major wood processing plant for recreational vehicles in the Midwest. By night I am a singer, songwriter and recording artiste known as #OmogoReloaded.
I enjoy spending time with my family and volunteering during my free time. At the moment, I deejay at my local community radio station every #Friday where I host the Smash Hitz Show on Horizon Radio. I also provide support, every other Sunday, at a well-respected senior/nursing facility in the #Michiana area.
I am really excited to be on #Steemit, I am stoked about #Dtube, #DSound and #DLive because of the endless possibility for music creators like me. Learning about #Steem has rekindled my passion, knowing that I have complete control over my creative endeavors and content where there are:
- hopes of reward for work done
- opportunities to grow authentic audience
- the middleman and gatekeepers are eliminated and
- no pressure or fear of content censorship among other things.
A few weeks ago, I was lamenting on a live videos session (https://www.facebook.com/aamaikori/videos/1623723064350775/) with African music industry mogul, CEO of Chocolate City Group, Audu Maikori, "about my indecision with #Bitcoin." He was also upset about missing out on the bitcoin train but more scares because the cryptocurrency landscape was shrouded in uncertainty. Steemit is a second chance into the world of #blockchain and #cryptocurrency. This chance is made possible due to the limited barrier to entry and a community eager to help and powered by an amazing wealth of information.
With Steemit, the future is bright for music-makers and content creators. I can't wait to see what the future holds but I am delighted to be on this journey with all of you.
