Born and bred in London, England, as the child of Mauritian parents, I’ve always hankered for shores further afield and dreamt of working and living in the Tropics. Now, I get to share the love and wonder I discovered on the rustic and remote island of Koh Tao with other lovestruck couples.

I live on the island with my husband, Rob, who hails from California, USA (yes, we met on the island – oh so romantic!) and with our darling rescue dogs, Nala and Koda, who are the real bosses of the house!

Getting anything arranged in a country that you may not be particularly familiar with can be both daunting and challenging, but with my local knowledge and contacts, both Thai and Western, I understand how to get things organised here on the island. Being a little off the beaten track, us ‘locals’ sometimes get pretty inventive to create just what we want, but having worked here, building contacts across the island since 2011, I’m well adapted to the ways of the island and know how to get things done!
