So I'm a 30something (no need to be exact) mum of two, ex restaurant manager, currently account student, craft loving Lady. Let me explain.
From leaving school I worked in hospitality, working up from the bottom to being the store manager and even having area responsibilities over a patch of about 10 restaurants. So then I had babies and my outlook on like and what I found important changed. I didn't enjoy what I did, I resented the amount I worked and so didn't put the effort in and was miserable.
So my then boyfriend and the father of my children, encouraged me to do what I wanted to make me happy. I left the restaurant business, got myself a little part time retail position, just to keep me going while I did an at home degree in Accounting. I'm nearly at end of year 1 and I'm loving it.
Anyway to the good bit. While still in restaurants, and about 3 years ago, my man and I went to Our beautiful capital city for our joint 30th birthday celebrations, and after 6 years and 2 children, he finally, in the middle of London, watching over tower bridge, got down in one knee!
LET THE WEDDING PLANNING AND CRAFTING COMMENCE!!!!
I decided that I wanted to make a lot of our wedding decorations myself, I watched videos, made mood boards and decided on what I wanted to do.
Paper flowers for Center pieces and folded books. I had seen a few people do them before!
Fast forward 4 years, the wedding is done and was amazing! Myself and my bestie made all the decorations from centre pieces to buttonholes, I have also made a small hobby business making to order via etsy and Facebook sales!
Let me know what you think.
I have expanded my crafts to now include other rolled flowers and quilling, also with the acquisition of a die cutter (or two) I now also do cut paper silhouettes and vinyl on photo frames, baubles and other personalised items.
