I'm part of a fairly small group of people, Americans who have become German citizens. Music, nature, classic cars, digital photography, current events, and the precarious state of our global financial system are some of the things that interest me.
It terms of political philosophy, I'm an amalgam of classical liberalism, libertarianism, with some conservative leanings mixed in. I find identity politics highly destructive. Although I am a German citizen, I agree with what President Trump said in his inauguration address, and believe this would be a good approach for all Western Democracies:
At the bedrock of our politics will be a total allegiance to the United States of America, and through our loyalty to our country, we will rediscover our loyalty to each other.
When you open your heart to patriotism, there is no room for prejudice.
The Bible tells us, “how good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity.”
Partisan politics turn me off. Career establishment politicians such as Lindsey Graham, John McCain, Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi all strike me as part of a system that caters to global financial elites.
If there is any interest here on Steemit, I will share a bit of my journey that took me from America to Europe, and what led to my becoming a German citizen.
Here are some of my photos (some with added artistic effects) and I hope to share more.

Bavaria, Germany
I've got a sports car, but I wish I had an classic car! This is from a classic car rally in Bavaria last year.

Venice, Italy
Cannes, France
This photo of a girl isn't mine, but I thought it would be a good shot for this type of effect.
I've also experimented with colorizing black and white photos. Perhaps I'll do a post on that, but until then, here are some examples:

To me it sometimes seems particularly effective to only emphasize on one part of the photo, for example:
So if you have similar interests and think you might be interested in any of this, please follow, and generally I'll follow back within a few days.
Best wishes from sunny Germany!
